Lesley clinched the victory scoring six of the last eight points of the set, resulting in a 25-10 win.

Two service aces from Keisha Hadorn (Yokosuka, Japan) allowed Pine Manor to come within one, 10-9. However, it was errors caused by the Lynx that allowed the Gators to take a 18-15 lead. Lesley would go on to outscore their opponents 10-5 as they took the 25-23 victory in set two.

Pine Manor took an early 6-4 lead but a kill by Hollis tied the game at six a piece. Two kills by Abbruzzese forced a Pine Manor timeout which gave Lesley a 9-8 advantage. The contest continued to be a battle but Lesley clinched the 25-19 victory with a strong offensive team effort lead by Wygonik and Ashley Keeney (Coventry, Conn.).
