Gators Run Win-Streak To Seven With Win Over Framingham State

Pine Manor College (7-1-1) remained undefeated in overtime notching an impressive road win over Framingham State (3-5), 3-2.

Jose Gonzalez (Houston, TX/Spring Woods) had the golden touch yet again for the Gators, scoring his third golden-goal overtime game-winner in the 94th minute on a beautiful upper-90 direct free kick.

Gonzalez was outstanding on the day as he played all 94 minutes and also scored the opening goal of the match after both Andree Hernandez-Garcia (San Antonio, TX/Clark) and Oscar Uriel Roque (Santa Rosa, CA/Montgomery) set up the goal with a great sequence of passes in the seventh minute, 1-0.

Gustavo Cassemiro would equalize for the home side in the 15th minute, and the game would remain tied until Roque was brought down in the box late in the second half by Framingham goalkeeper Corey Davidge. After a lengthy discussion the referee awarded the penalty kick, which freshman Noel Rios (El Paso, TX/Bel Air) promptly buried for his first career goal in the 78th minute, 2-1.

Five minutes later, Framingham was also awarded a penalty kick allowing Isaac De Souza to level the score for the second time in the game, 2-2.

All that was left was Gonzalez's dramatic free kick winner stretching the Gators program record winning streak to seven straight victories.
