CHESTNUT HILL, MASS. – Fresh off their victory against Vermont Tech the Gators faced Southern Vermont in their second game of a back to back and it showed in the opening minutes of the game. You could tell that the Gators were a bit fatigue but managed to will themselves to 2-0 lead to finish the first half. The first goal came at the 21:00 mark when Owen Haughton finished the header as he received the corner kick from Shaquille Sailsman. Sailsman's wasn't done just yet as he made a beautiful pass thru the center gap and led Kenardo Dwyer for his first goal of the day.
The second half started off the same way the first had ended with the Gators connecting on two goals within less than a minute apart. Dwyer then returned the favor from his earlier goal and assisted on Sailsman's goal as he connected on a cross pass leading to the goal. Dwyer and Sailsman teamed up once more as they both assisted as Daniel Alanis finished off the play giving Pine Manor a 4-0 lead.
Southern Vermont could have easily given up at that point but fought and battled to get on the score board as Mahat Abdullahi connected on his goal at the 64:01 mark. The Gators then tackled on two more goals for reassurance as Alanis set up Dwyer for his second goal of the day. The last goal happened in a crazy fashion as Goal Keeper Oscar Estrada launched the ball into the backline defense as Dwyer battled with two Southern Vermont players creating both of them to tap the ball into their own goal giving Pine Manor the victory 6-1.
