Rasheed Bell Become Second Men's Basketball Player to Reach 1000 Points

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior guard Rasheed Bell (Dorchester, Mass.) became the second Pine Manor men's basketball player to eclipse the 1000-point mark on Saturday afternoon. He scored the milestone point early in the second half with a free throw during of the Gators' non-conference game against Fitchburg State.

Bell came into Saturday's contest needing 10 points to join the elite club. He picked up the first nine in the opening period with two three-pointers, a two, and a free throw. He finished the game with 16 to lead the team.

He joins Taverick Roberson as the only other PMC men's player to reach the 1000-point plateau since the team's inception in 2014-15.

The senior guard will have an opportunity to add to his total on Monday, Feb. 4 when the Gators return home to play Lesley at Brunelli Court at 7 p.m.
