CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Steven Collins posted a team-high 22 points as the Gators snapped a two-game skid, following a77-69 victory over Maine-Presque Isle on a snowy Saturday afternoon.
The Gators set the tone of the game early, shooting 51.7% from the floor to take a 10-point, 43-33, lead into the half. Collins was nearly perfect from the field, netting five-of-six attempts, leading all scorers with 13 points in the first half.
Maine-Presque Isle chipped away at the lead in the second half, taking advantage of a 42.9% shooting performance from beyond the arc to outscore Pine Manor 36-34. Anthony Chacho posted 13 of his 17 points in the second half, while Kevin Collins also netted 13 points to finish with a game-high 23 points.
