Men's Basketball Drop Heartbreaker to Regis, 76-75

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Pine Manor College men's basketball team dropped down to .500 on the young season falling to Regis College, 76-75, at the Colby College Tip-Off Tournament, Saturday afternoon. The Gators move to 2-2 on the season while the Pride pick up the first victory of the season improving to 1-2 on the season.

  • Sophomore center Ellis Reid recorded his second double-double of the season registering a team-high 17 points and 12 rebounds.
  • Fellow sophomores, guard Erick Rosario came off the bench following up with 12 points in 24 minutes while also dishing out a game-high six assists.
  • Sophomore center Josh Gause also reached double figures coming off the bench tallying 11.
  • Junior guard Chancie Williams rounded out the four Gators in to record double digits in points, netting 10 on the afternoon.
  • Junior guard Taverick Roberson doled out five assists as the Gators dished out 14 on the day.



  • Trailing by two possessions, 68-64, Regis went on a three-minute 8-2 run at 4:49 to take a 72-70 lead with 1:31 remaining


  • Regis ended the first half and began the second half with a 12-2 run to take a 50-42 lead and force the Gators to call their first time-out.
  • Coming out of the time-out, first year forward Rasheed Bell broke up the stretch knocking down a pair of free throws to cut the deficit to two possessions, 50-44.
  • Regis' Julio Galay gave the Pride a nine-point, 62-53, lead with just under 10 minutes remaining the contest.
  • The Gators went on a three-minute 12-0 run to take their first lead, 65-63, since the last minute of the first half at 6:50 in the second half.
  • Sophomore guard Erick Rosario scored five of the Gators 12 points during the stretch including knocking down three of four from the charity stripe.
