MYRTLE BEACH- The PMC Gators made history by winning their first two games in program history at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach South Carolina over Clark's Summit.
Game One was a wild one with Alec Hanney pitching 7 strong innings posting 9 strikeouts and drawing a tough luck no decision.
The Gators got on the board in the 5th as Gio Acevedo (Boston Mass) reached on an error. Brian Jones (Detroit Michigan) followed with a double. After 2 outs Randal Adams (Garden Grove California) plated both with a double putting the first every Gator runs on the board- Adams would later score on an error.
Clark's Sunmit battled back tying the game
the game in the bottom of the 7th.
In the 9th Lorenzo Panatelo (Boston Mass) drove in 2 runs while Tim Martin (Boston Mass) drove in one to again give the Gators a 3 run cushion, however in the bottom of the 9th Clark's Summit got to Pantaleo and Hugh Turner (Craig Colorado) for another 3 runs forcing a 10th inning.
In the 10th Acevedo and Jones both singled- Evan Reynolds (Everett Massachusetts) plated them with a rocket double. In the bottom of the 10th Turner settled in and struck out the final 2 hitters to cement the Gators first win.
Isaiah Mack (Montville CT) will go down in history with the Gators first ever hit.
In game two, freshman Armando Maldonado pitched a complete game in a 5 inning mercy rule shortened game, he scattered 5 hits and struck out 10.
The offense was lead by Isaiah Mack who knocked in the final two runs leading to the mercy rule, as well as Evan Reynolds (2-3) and Markevious Snead who knocked an inside the park home run in the third for the first in team history.
The Gators return to action Tuesday against Lancaster Bible
