Pine Manor Gymnasium
(Men's/Women's Basketball, Women's Volleyball)
Pine Manor Gymnasium is home to both Pine Manor Basketball and Volleyball. The facility features one large section of bleachers for spectators. On February 12, 1994, the court at Pine Manor Gymnasium was dedicated in honor of the late Donald E. Brunelli, Jr., a former Pine Manor assistant basketball coach and friend of the Pine Manor Community, who passed away in December of 1993. Donald E. Brunelli, Jr. was also inducted into the Pine Manor Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009. In April 2009, Brunelli Court was home to a commercial shoot for Hewlett-Packard computers starring former Boston Celtics all-star Kevin Garnett. The facility also includes a retractable batting cage.
The Milton G. Green Fitness Room is located on the second floor of Pine Manor Gymansium. A gift of Stephen and Patricia Green Dunn, the fitness room was given in honor of former Pine Manor College Trustee Milton G. Green. Also a member of the Harvard Athletics Hall of Fame, Green held the 1936 Intercollegiate and World Record for High Hurdles. The facility features state-of-the-art training, nautilus and free weight equipment as well as a full-line of Precor treadmills, stationary bicycles, and elliptical machines. Overlooking Brunelli Court, the Fitness Room is open to student-athletes and non-athletes alike.
The home of Pine Manor Soccer, Hedley Field was dedicated on October 3, 1993. In Spring 2010, the field was upgraded with the installation of a new natural grass field. Surrounded by pine, oak, maple, hickory and hemlock trees, the picturesque field was the gift of the family of David Van H. Hedley, father of Melissa Hedley '94. The facility includes seating to accommodate nearly 200 spectators and is measured to NCAA specifications for lacrosse and soccer.
Pine Manor Softball Field
Located in the northwest corner of campus, Pine Manor Softball Field sits just behind Pine Manor Gymnasium. The home to Pine Manor Softball was also the site of the 2008 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament. A large hill along the third base side provides ample seating for all spectators. The field also features a scenic hitter's background consisting of, from left to rightfield, the Pine Manor's Commencement Field, a pond, Pine Manor Gymnasium, woodlands and large rocks.
In September 2002, Pine Manor unveiled six hard-surface tennis courts. The NCAA-size courts courts are located next to Hedley Field, on the south-most side of campus. The courts include twelve posts of silver-halide lights, which include sensors for optimum lighting, illuminate the six fully gated courts.
Paddle Tennis Courts
Three paddle tennis courts are located on campus and are also home to The Brookline Paddle Club (BPC). For more information, or to book a court time, please visit the BPC website at brooklinepaddle.com
